What is your academic background?
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York University in 2010. From there, I pursued a Master of Public Health at Lakehead University, completing it in 2014. Most recently, I achieved my Master of Psychology in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in 2024. In addition to my formal education, I have specialized training in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International, which has deepened my ability to support new and expectant parents. Each of these steps has been instrumental in shaping my understanding and approach to mental health, and I’m continually learning to better support my clients in their own personal growth.
What is your biggest passion in therapy?
I’m deeply passionate about supporting individuals and couples by using an integrative therapeutic approach. I believe that each person is unique, and addressing different areas of life—whether it’s emotional, relational, or behavioral—can be transformative. My goal is to help clients navigate their challenges, empower them to understand themselves better, and work towards their own healing and growth.
What led you to work with pregnant and postpartum clients?
As someone who has experienced the emotional and physical changes that come with pregnancy and postpartum, I understand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. Reaching out for help during this time can be a daunting step, but it's also a vital one. I am passionate about offering support to expectant and new parents, helping them feel heard, understood, and equipped to navigate this life transition with confidence and emotional wellbeing.
What drew you to couples therapy?
Couples therapy is close to my heart because I firmly believe that healthy, supportive relationships are the foundation of a fulfilling life. What drew me to this area of practice is my desire to help partners rebuild connection, strengthen communication, and work through challenges in a safe and non-judgmental space. Whether it’s improving intimacy, resolving conflict, or simply learning to communicate better, I am committed to helping couples build a stronger foundation together. Each client I work with reminds me of the power of therapy in helping people create meaningful change.
