Rebecca is a registered clinical social worker who has specialized in pediatric mental health, with experience in both hospital and community settings. Becoming a parent has inspired Rebecca’s interest in maternal mental health and she is passionate about helping clients navigate their way through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Using care and humour, Rebecca is a strong advocate who strives to provide non-judgmental support and to engage clients in problem solving that translates well into ‘real life’ outside of the office.

In addition to her role at The Well Parents Centre, Rebecca provides hospital-based individual therapy to adolescents and adults who struggle with a variety of challenges including; depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, grief and loss, low self-worth, and adjustment to life transitions.

Rebecca offers parenting consultation to provide support in navigating issues such as: difficult behaviours, mealtime challenges, attachment concerns, sibling rivalry, establishing routines, potty training, boundary setting, and difficulties with transitions.

Rebecca offers an eclectic, trauma-informed therapeutic approach that is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and complemented by elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She also has advanced training in perinatal mental health (Postpartum Support International).

Rebecca holds a Masters of Social Work from Carleton University. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).

Rebecca offers virtual-only services at The Well Parents Centre. When not at work, Rebecca is usually trying to keep up with her two young children.
