Dr. Wence Leung, C. Psych., RPT

Dr. Leung is a registered School and Clinical Psychologist, and a registered play therapist. She uses an integrative and eclectic approach that is informed by various therapeutic orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. She believes that therapy is a process to help the client to gain a better understanding of self and reach his/her full potential in a safe and supportive environment.

At The Well Parents Centre, Dr. Leung offers general counselling services to adults for various presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem problems, interpersonal communication, stress management, and parenting concerns. She has experience supporting parents to help address their child’s needs , both parents of preschoolers and school-age students.

Dr. Leung provides services in both English and Cantonese.

Dr. Leung completed her Ph.D. in School and Clinical Psychologist at the University of Alberta and her internship at the University of Alberta Clinical Services. She currently works in schools and community settings in both Ontario and Alberta. She is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA), and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Dr. Leung is also a committee member in the PAA public education and wellness committee to promote mental health in the community.

Dr. Leung enjoys spending her time off with her two children.
