Lani Lipson holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree from Yorkville University and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).  At The Well Parents Centre, her clinical focus is on supporting perinatal and postpartum clients. Lani seeks to enable clients to feel less alone in their journey and to take back control of their lives and mental health. Depending on the client’s needs, Lani uses a strengths-based, narrative and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach with her clients. She provides support to people at any stage of their reproductive journey, assisting them in overcoming challenges associated with anxiety, despair, bereavement, and the life changes that occur when one decides to start a family. She has completed the Perinatal Mood Disorders certificate training through Postpartum Support International. She has also completed training in supporting clients through termination for medical reasons.

Lani has been working in the maternal mental health space for the past five years, specifically with postpartum women. She ran a business named ee-mah, where she and her partner interviewed mothers about their postpartum experience. They then published their stories anonymously on an Instagram account and after seeing the appetite for these stories, took an array of stories and then published their own book titled “No one Ever Told Me…” A collection of motherhood stories to get you through your postpartum journey. Since publishing this book, Lani’s interest in serving the needs of women in this stage of life has only grown.
