Offering Virtual Individual Psychotherapy
Dr. Jane Gold is a registered Clinical Psychologist in Ontario, working with adults to help them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals.
She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal and have had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals such as Toronto Western Hospital, Ontario Shores, St. Mary’s Hospital, and the Jewish General Hospital. After years of working in institutional environments, she transitioned into private practice, where she can offer a more personalized and focused therapeutic experience.
In her practice, she also works with women who face challenges related to pregnancy, fertility struggles, and perinatal loss. Pregnancy and early motherhood can be deeply emotional experiences, and for many, they come with unexpected hurdles, grief, and anxiety. Dr. Gold provides compassionate support to women navigating infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, traumatic birth experiences, and postpartum emotional difficulties. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where women can process their emotions, work through feelings of loss, and develop tools to cope with the psychological impact of these life events. She tailors therapy to help clients find healing, strength, and resilience as they move forward.
Dr. Gold’s therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored, combining evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other eclectic methods suited to each individual’s needs.
Originally from Montreal, where she lived and studied for many years, she later moved to Toronto, a city she now proudly calls home. Both cities hold a special place in her heart for their unique charm and vibrancy. Her passion for psychology is deeply rooted in my commitment to helping my clients foster resilience, uncover their strengths, and develop effective coping strategies.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gold finds joy in reading, traveling, and continuously expanding my knowledge. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey—one that can be empowering, transformative, and filled with new insights. She looks forward to working together and supporting you in achieving meaningful change.
