Jessica-Ann is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University, registered with the OCSWSSW. She strives to create a warm, supportive space for exploration and healing.

She has spent the last two decades working with clients with mental health challenges, particularly anxiety and depression, and her diverse background includes working for new immigrants, veterans, and clients with disabilities.

In her counselling work with individuals, Jessica-Ann has particular interest and experience in supporting clients with infertility and pregnancy loss as well as postpartum adjustment, depression, anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).  Disordered eating and Body Dysmorphic Disorder are also areas of interest where she provides additional support to clients.  Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy as well as Motivational Interviewing.  Her practice stance is anti-oppressive and she strives to meet clients where they are at.  She encourages clients to begin with small steps that move towards larger changes.

As a mother to two young daughters who has experienced infertility herself, Jessica-Ann has a deep understanding of the challenges new parents face.  This experience allows her to bring a genuine empathy and compassion to her clients and to support them on their road to growth and change.
